Moritz Hochschild emigrated from Germany to Bolivia, where he became a wealthy owner of mines. When

El Alto, Bolivia (dpa) - Edgar Ramirez has a problem. "Actually, we would need German-speaking historians to help us go through all the documents," says the director of the mining archive.

Like the Jews referred to in the documents, he knows what it means to be persecuted. During the military dictatorship in the 1970s, he spent seven years in Bolivian prisons.
